Setting up conversion tracking is now a conversation. Tell Adside in Slack you want to track conversions and it starts by checking your website and your Google Tag Manager account. If Tag Manager isn't connected yet, it posts a button to connect it and can create the container for you. If Tag Manager isn't on your site yet, Adside adds it through a pull request on your site's GitHub repository, ready for your team to review and merge.
Then it asks what counts as a conversion for you. When people book a call through Calendly or Cal.com, Adside builds a thank-you page in your site's own design, explains how to turn on the booking redirect and confirms it all works with a test booking. The page keeps bookers' names and emails out of your analytics. Adside then sets up conversion tags for Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, Snapchat and X, starting with a card that shows which platforms are connected and a Connect button for the rest. Each booking counts once, even if someone reloads the page.
Nothing changes in Tag Manager until someone on your team presses Publish on the card in your thread. Adside also follows its pull request and picks the conversation back up on its own once the change is merged and live on your site.
