Ad Destinations

Someone asked us how to tell what website an ad points to, and the honest answer was to go find the ad in Ads Manager. Now it's on the creative itself.

The destination shows up in the creative detail drawer, as a Destination column in the "Ads using this visual" table, and on Top Creatives cards once you switch on Destination page in Display settings. We show you the host and the path with the tracking parameters stripped out, because a real ad URL is usually a short path followed by 200 characters of utm codes, and two ads pointing at completely different pages look identical that way. The link itself still opens the ad's actual URL.

It works on Meta, Google and TikTok. LinkedIn keeps the destination inside the promoted post rather than anywhere we can currently read, so we leave the row off instead of showing you an empty one. TikTok only returns a landing page for some ad formats, so a lot of TikTok ads will show nothing. When one card stands for several ads going to several different pages, it shows the destination of the highest spending one plus a count of the others, and the breakdown table lists them all.
